At Bricks and Mobile 2011, Isis will participate in a discussion about the impact mobile commerce will have on mobile marketing and loyalty programs. Our very own Doug Kilgour sat down with Remodista in advance of the event to talk about how Isis’ can help merchants improve the customer engagement process.

Mashable posted a guide to mobile commerce that outlines the major players in the space. The story also notes NFC’s short wireless range makes the technology a good choice for secure, contactless transactions.

According to ABI Research, 85 percent of payment terminals shipped in 2016 will be contactless enabled. The report suggests mobile commerce is fueling increased demand and growth of contactless payment systems. Interestingly, ABI Research also notes contactless “represents an almost perfect fit for the vending industry.”
A new infographic released by Ad Age ranks the most trusted brands in mobile payments. We’re pleased to know that Isis is working with the top three – Visa, MasterCard and American Express – as we work toward our 2012 launch in Salt Lake City and Austin.
An interesting story in the The New York Times highlights several merchants making the move to digital receipts. “We saw the opportunity to create a better experience for the customer, wherever they are in the store,” one merchant explained. Read more »

C-SAM will license its wallet management platform and software development kit to Isis, NFC World reports. According to the story, C-SAM’s platform provides “NFC smartphone users with a comprehensive mobile wallet for conducting secure transactions related to payments, rewards, coupons, tickets, transit and other services.”
